Self Portrait Carving

This project we had to make 4 self portrait ink finishes. We started out by taking a selfie or finding a picture with ourselves in it. Then we traced the picture with black marker and transferred it to a plain sheet of paper. After that we took our block/thing of cork type material and copied our picture onto it using charcoal. Once it was copied over we had to carve out all the areas we wanted white and finally we got to use ink to make our finishes using the cork and another piece of paper. I tried to make the background of mine different because it was kind of a boring picture.
